We Ripe
in Hustopeče

We have set our tale between
apricots and almonds.

An Oasis of Peace in the
Middle of Nature

On the eastern side of the picturesque town of Hustopeče, in the heart of the South Moravian countryside, you will find a small paradise. Fields of vineyards, the biggest almond orchard in the Czech Republic, and a charming wooden lookout tower from which you can see Pálava and the White Carpathians. And right in the middle of it all, in a small apricot orchard, you will find an oasis of peace – the Starý vrch winery.

It was founded in 2013 by father Petr and son Lukáš Policky. The building made of natural stone, oak wood, and a terrace under the crowns of apricots is completely hidden from the eyes of passers-by. You can enjoy the finest and quiet moments in peace.

11 Hectares
of Moravian Gold

All traditional Moravian varieties are grown on 110,000 m2 of our own vineyards in Hustopeče, Strachotín, and Popice.

Each year we harvest and produce 140,000 liters of wine from these vineyards, of which 15,000 liters are aged in the wine cellar in original French oak barrels — all under the expert supervision of our experienced cellar master Ondřej Lukeš.
